In this era of social media, what affects us most is the people’s judgment about us. The number of likes on the facebook post determines one’s popularity. The spate of ridicule and criticism that invades the WhatsUp groups to any change in policy or any action or inaction of a person of influence, creates a very negative virtual environment. Leadership is often challenged with such threats.
Leaders who dare to think beyond, politicians who dare to transform are often subject to such criticism because these are the times when wisdom is often mistaken to be an ability to badmouth and critique in public.
However, may we all remember that the judgment that is passed about you reveals a lot more about the person than you because his/her judgment is born out of his/her background and not yours. Your judgment of how a player must play a sport is based on how you understand the sport and should not unduly unnerve the player.
May we all remember that we have our commitment to our own self, to our parents, to our country before we fall prey to such unwarranted criticisms. You would err, only when you work. Most importantly, you can never be at peace with yourself if the remote of your happiness is with others.
Let us all join hands to create a breed of unconditionally happy countrymen.
With warm regards and best wishes,
